Rechta Doyen
Hand-rolled rechta with white sauce and chicken. The recipe my grandmother refused to write down β I watched instead.

We're tucked behind the pharmacy on the main road of CitΓ© 1000 Logements. Look for the handwritten sign and the smell of cumin. You can't miss it β everyone in Harrach knows VakaKitchen.
VakaKitchen started in a tiny apartment kitchen in Harrach. Just me, a gas stove, and a notebook full of my grandmother's recipes β half in Arabic, half in drawings. People in the building kept asking "what's that smell?" so I started cooking for them. Then their friends. Then strangers. Now we're a real kitchen with a handwritten menu and the same stove (upgraded once, it exploded). Every dish comes from that original notebook. No fusion. No trends. Just Harrach food done right.
